E’ la sede del Catholicos, l’equivalente armeno (Chiesa Apostolica Armena) del nostro Papa. La cattedrale e’ una delle piu’ antiche di tutto il mondo, costruita intorno al 300, quando l’Armenia era l’unico paese cristiano.
La visito in giornata partendo da Yerevan. Quando arrivo il posto, patrimonio dell’UNESCO, e’ gremito di fedeli.

It’s the home of the Catholicos, the armenian equivalent (Armenian Apostolic Church of the Catholic Pope. The cathedral is ‘one of the most ancient in the world, built around 300, when Armenia was the only Christian country.
I visit it in a day trip from Yerevan. When I arrive the place, UNESCO heritage, it’s plenty of believers.
