It’s the home of the Catholicos, the armenian equivalent (Armenian Apostolic Church of the Catholic Pope. The cathedral is ‘one of the most ancient in the world, built around 300, when Armenia was the only Christian country.

I visit it in a day trip from Yerevan. When I arrive the place, UNESCO heritage, it’s plenty of believers.
