E adesso un castello…
maggio 23rd, 2010 | Posted by in UngheriaUnfortunately in Sopron there are very extensive works, which don`t not allow you to enjoy what, according to many, is one of the most beautiful old towns in Hungary.
But even in this case is just my starting point for the goal that I set: Fertőd castle.
The hungarian Versailles, as it is called here, is the largest baroque castle in the country, surrounded by gardens, of french style, of course. Haydn spent ten years composing and organizing concerts here.
During the Second World War the building suffered severe damages and was looted, but it was later restored even in the interior.
And finally … who is the King?
